About Kota

Kota is the industrial hub of Rajasthan & has an atomic power plant.
It is situated on the banks of Chambal river & famous for its fort &
dams.
Kota, the historical city was founded in 12th century, now is well known
as the industrial capital of Rajasthan. It is rapidly emerging as an important
industrial centre. It boasts of Asia's largest fertilizer plant, precision
instrument unit and atomic power station nearby. Amazingly unfamiliar,
the Kota has some splendid treasures for the tourist. Its impregnable
fortresses, sprawling palaces, exquisitely wrought palaces and lovely
waterways act as a magnificent foil to its exotic wildlife and delicate
fresco Paintings.
How to Reach Kota
By Road :: There are regular express buses to Ajmer(6 hours), Chittorgarh(6
hours), Jaipur(6 hours) Udaipur(6 hours), Jodhpur(11 hours), Bikaner(12
hours).
By Rail :: Kota is on the main Mumbai-Delhi line via Sawai Madhopur
so there are so many Express trains to Delhi & Mumbai. The Rajdhani
Express leaves for Mumbai at 8:50 PM.
